Trimwel signs reseller agreement with Josero UK

Trimwel, a leading supplier of consumables to the sign trade in Ireland has been appointed a distributer of Triangle's complete range of inkjet products. The agreement, reached with Josero (the inkjet consumable specialist and master distributor in the UK and Ireland for Triangle inks) is designed to strengthen Trimwel's product offering to the Irish market. The company, formed in 1985 is based in Sandyford, Dublin 18, and supplies many well know brands such as Metamark, Graphtec, 3M, and Sandex to the sign industry.

Crystalblue solvent acrylic adhesive from Hexis UK

A new generation of solvent acrylic adhesives called Crystalblue is available from Hexis UK. It has been developed to help improve the images and graphics printed on vinyls when using solvent, eco-solvent and UV-curable inkjet printers.

Colorific launches Bio ink

Colorific has a new range of environmentally conscious third-party inks. The Colorific Bio range, which is 90% biodegradable and ISO9001 compliant, is available in CMYK, plus light cyan, light magenta or orange and green, and combines biodegradable food-grade solvents and high quality pigments for use in the sign and display industry. The ink is classified non-flammable, non-toxic and non-hazardous and doesn't require any extraction of fumes for compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

FTP server problems addressed

Rob Thurston has joined large-format reseller and colour proofing specialist City and West End Solutions (CWES). Thurston comes to CWE Solutions from GMG reseller Xelix, and has more than eight years experience with GMG proofing and colour management products. My Ipex planner goes live

The interactive online planning tool 'My Ipex' is now live. If you are thinking of visiting Ipex 2010 (18 - 25 May 2010, NEC Birmingham UK) you can use My Ipex to devise a personalised show itinerary. With it you can explore the event stand-by-stand by looking at interactive floorplans on screen, or by searching for exhibitors alphabetically, by hall, or product category. After identifying which exhibitors to visit at the show, you can then easily create a short-list containing all exhibitors' locations with links to their company profiles, press releases, new product information and video content at the click of a mouse. The personalised itinerary can then be printed or saved and re-visited when you next access My Ipex online.

Survey finds sector optimistic of 2010 recovery

The results of Fespa's first stakeholder Economy Survey suggest that wide-format printers and their suppliers worldwide are broadly optimistic about the chances of business recovering to pre-recession levels within the next 12 months.

Vivid plans expansion

Just months after opening up shop with an Epson Stylus Pro 11880 Barnsley-based Vivid Display is planning on buying two more printers as it anticipates doubling the size of the operation within the next year. The company, which started trading in February, already deals with about 16 shopping centres across the UK, producing POS materials, window graphics and floor vinyls.

Epson photo exhibition to wow sports fans

As official partner of the 12th IAAF World Athletics Championships, Berlin 2009, Epson (in co-operation with the non-profit organisation Kulturprojekte Berlin) will be transforming Berlin's finest street 'Unter den Linden' into a huge open-air photo exhibition. Over 60 sports-based photos, each almost 2m high, will accompany the World Championship spectators.

Hexis targets wall graphics market

Self-adhesive vinyl manufacturer Hexis has brought out a printable cast vinyl film for wall graphics. The VCSR100WG1 is designed for direct application onto brick, concrete or plaster walls.
