3M performance guarantee now supports HP latex printer

A performance guarantee is now available from the commercial graphics division of 3M that covers those using the latest HP Designjet L25500 printer in conjunction with HP latex inks and a range of approved 3M media.

Summa premiere at Fespa

At Fespa 2010, Summa will release its latest Summa F Series cutter developments, including the F1612, the company's first flatbed cutter first introduced at ISA International Sign Expo 2010 in Florida earlier this year. On this flatbed cutter up to three work modules with different working tools can be mounted at once.

Robert Horne has re-launched the dtec brand of wide-format digital media as part of a pan-European campaign through PaperlinX Europe. The range has been restyled to cover major wide-format applications.

Xennia makes major industrial inkjet moves

Xennia used Ipex to announce an agreement with industrial inkjet printhead manufacturer Trident that will see the latter supply printheads exclusively to Xennia for industrial textile decoration and finishing, as well as coating of industrial products. The company has also accelerated its supply of industrial inkjet inks and said it plans to acquire specialised digital printing software company Cametrics within the next few months.

HP shake-up

Mark Roland has taken over from Nancy Janes as UK and Ireland large format country manager, UK, for HP. Janes moves over to become UK country manager for the Indigo range, replacing Robert Stabler who will now be looking after that market from an EMEA perspective.??

Fosco's shows off new HP Scitex FB7500

Fosco's has held a three-day Open House to show-off its newly installed HP Scitex FB7500 printer. The machine is part of a ?2.5m investment programme that has also seen the Birmingham company double the size of its print facility by acquiring the premises next door, taking its total space to over 1,858m2 (20,000 sq.ft.)

Ipex appoints first president from digital sector

Canon's David Preskett will be president of Ipex 2014 - the first representative from the digital print community to hold the position. The announcement was made as Ipex organiser IIR Exhibitions provided visitor figures for the first half of Ipex 2010, which closes tomorrow (25 May). By the end of day three (Thursday, 20th May) over 35,000 visitors from more than 120 countries had walked through Ipex's doors, with international attendance up by 16%, representing 56% of the overall visitors.

Pre-register for Fespa to save entry fee

Those of you intending to visit Fespa 2010 have until 15 June to pre-register for the show and swerve the 60 Euro entry fee. By pre-registering, you will also receive regular email updates from Fespa on features and events at the show which opens at the Messe Munich on 22 June.

Tests to deink inkjet paper are successful

The Digital Print Deinking Alliance (DPDA) has shared the first of a series of scientific research investigations into the deinkability of inkjet printed papers. In a study conducted by Centre Technique du Papier (CTP) of Grenoble, France, a leading research organisation and expert in the field of recycling technologies, inkjet prints were successfully deinked in a procedure designed to replicate a typical European mixed grade waste paper recycling system.


Four Pees announces technology chief as it launches DFlux at Ipex

Four Pees has appointed David van Driessche as chief technology officer. Having contributed to Enfocus' and Gradual's product strategy and the development of the PitStop and Switch product lines, he will be responsible for Four Pees' product strategy as well as for the integration and expansion of its portfolio.
