White paper drafted to end W2P confusion?

City and West End Solutions embraces latex

Claiming to have sold over 85% of the HP L65500 latex printers in the UK this year, City and West End Solutions is hoping to repeat its success with the smaller HP Designjet L25500 machine which will be the focus of its stand at Sign and Digital UK in April.?"Sign and Digital is the ideal showcase for the 60in and 42in L25500 models," said Doug Gilbertson, City and West End managing director. "Its already making a deep impact into the traditional solvent sign maker market."

DCP sees wide-format growth in photo sector?

At the recent photography show Focus on Imaging DCP Systems took nearly 50 orders for printers from Epson and HP, almost twice the amount of the previous year. Orders ranged from the A3 desktop Epson printers to the 42in HP latex Designjet L25500 printer.?

DPI adds Virtu RR50 to its offering

The superwide Virtu RR50 UV-curable roll-to-roll inkjet printer from WP Digital is now available in the UK and Ireland from Digital Print Innovations (DPI). With the ability to print on a wide range of materials up to 5m wide at speeds up to 320m2/hr and with a 1200dpi resolution, the printer is expected to attract many looking at moving into digital, especially those from the screen print sector according to Stewart Bell, managing director of DPI.

Green light for digitally printed traffic signs

Czech-based UV printer manufacturer Grapo Technologies has entered into an agreement with Orafol Europe to offer an application package that uses Grapo's Octopus UV digital printers and specially developed inks to digitally produce reflective traffic signs using Orafol`s microprismatic reflective film systems - the intention being to replace screen printing technology for many sign applications.

Xaar printhead enabled printers to showcase at Fespa Munich

HP Application City set to roll at Fespa

Fujifilm Sericol names disappears in UK

As of 1 April the UK sales activities of Fujifilm Sericol UK will be fully integrated with the Graphic Systems division of Fujifilm UK and the Sericol name will no longer be used. The move is the final stage of transition to the Fujifilm brand, and the company said it will expedite growth of the wide-format inkjet part of the business.

Eco approval for EFI Vutek QS Series r ink

The EFI Vutek QS Series r Ink has been approved by the Nordic Ecolabelling Board, allowing print companies to refer to the approved ink when documenting their application for a Nordic Ecolabelling license.

Josero agreement with DTL Supplies

Josero, sole UK and Ireland distributor for Triangle inks, has signed a reseller agreement with DTL Supplies for the south west of England and Wales. The agreement covers the resale of the complete range of Triangle products - including solvent and UV curable inks - and a range of spare printer parts from tubing to printheads.
