Over 1,500 comments of support from Watford Football Club (nicknamed ‘The Hornets’) fans have been captured in a 4m x 1.3m banner produced for the playoff final with Crystal Palace on Monday 27 May. The messages were compiled over four days last week via Twitter, Facebook and the club’s official mailing list, with the subsequent banner produced in collaboration with audio and video-embedded print integration company Talking Print and printed by Watford-based Stylo Graphics.

Kaye-Dee will present the high-speed Viper industrial digital printer at Fespa 2013. Developed by Bergstein Digital, this flatbed printer uses an ‘on the fly’ digital LED UV concept to print a bed of parts in 80 seconds.

The eighth annual PrintIT! Awards has taken place - at North Print and Pack in Harrogate. This year the entrants designed a wide variety of end products, from leaflets and shelf wobblers through to posters, mobiles, floor decals and aisle and storefront banners.

Matan Digital Printers, manufacturer of the Barak line of super-wide UV printers, has increased its production floor by 75%. “With an ever-increasing demand for the Barak printers, our previous production space just could not accommodate the required volume and we had to expand,” said Hanan Yosefi, Matan president and CEO.

Northumberland-company Victory Signs has bought the UK’s first JFX500-2131. The sign and display producer bought the 2.1 x 3.1m UV flatbed printer from Mimaki via Your Print Specialists (YPS).

Hampshire Flag Company has donated flags and banners to support a charity which helps improve the lives of people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. Is has supplied nine roller banners, two tear drop flags and 10 PVC banners to The Rowans Hospice, which is situated just a few miles away from the firm in Waterlooville.

Neschen is again sponsoring the nature photography festival ‘Horizonte Zingst’ and supplying the digital print media and protective laminates for the event’s open-air installations.

Making its global debut at Fespa 2013 will be a new Truepress Jet wide-format printer, details of which are being kept under wraps by Screen until the show. It will sit alongside the Truepress Jet2500 hybrid printer and Truepress JetW1632UV which will be demonstrating Screen’s Equios workflow automation and PDF Polisher file optimisation software.
