Avery Dennison has released a benchmark video and study. Independent applicators completed benchmark tests on perception of product and application performance comparing seven vehicle wrapping films from major manufacturers worldwide.

Drytac, a manufacturer of adhesive-coated products with locations throughout North America and Europe, has acquired adhesive coating company Multi-Tac based in Toronto, Canada.

Prize for Best in Show at the Fespa Awards has gone to Switzerland’s Atelier für Siebdruck Lorenz Boegli for its screenprinted entry ‘Josephine’ seen here. BCQ has bought its first flatbed printer, an Acuity Advance HS HD3545W from Fujifilm. US-based substrate developer Cooley Group is opening a European headquarters in response to demand for the company’s non-PVC, print media. Volker Mueller, is new Cooley Commercial Graphics director, EMEA, and will be based at the new site in Siegen, Germany.

The Océ ColorWave 900 has debuted at Fespa 2013. Beginning life as concept under the term 'Project Velocity' at Drupa 2012, the printer is said to   close the gap between digital inkjet and traditional offset technology. It has been designed for the GA, CAD and GIS markets, but Canon says it is “ideal for a vast range of applications - such as point-of-sale (POS), exhibition and trade show materials, counter and floor displays, technical drawings and maps - an attractive proposition for wide-format printers looking to radically boost output, and for commercial printers looking for a powerful way to explore new revenue channels.”
