The latest Wrap Academy, celebrating women in the industry
Roland DG has joined long-standing partner BWT Alpine F1 team in celebrating the talent of women in the vehicle wrapping industry with the second edition of its Wrap Academy.
Hosted at BWT’s technical centre in Oxfordshire, the exclusive experience brought eight of Europe’s female car wrappers together, alongside renowned vehicle wrapper and trailblazer in automotive customisation, Morgane Quetier, for a unique wrap challenge.
The day featured inspiring talks, a behind-the-scenes tour of the BWT Alpine Formula One Team, and a dynamic wrap challenge where participants demonstrated their skills on a Formula One show car.
Megan Cadogan, founder of Miss Wrapz was crowned the champion, earning a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join the BWT Alpine Formula One Team wrap crew in Las Vegas later this year.
Ms Quetier said: “When I started out in car wrapping, there weren’t many females doing it, and even fewer who were visible. So, events like this matter.
“The Wrap Academy is not just about technique; it’s about representation. When young women see someone like them working in this space, succeeding, leading, it makes a huge difference. It tells them: you belong here too. This event is about sharing that message, offering support, and building a community of women who lift each other up.”
Attendees spoke about their experiences in the industry, with women representing just 25% of global automotive roles. However, the rapid expansion of the market is seen as a significant opportunity to bring more women into the industry.
