Fans can personalise shirts with Avery Dennison
Avery Dennison has ventured into a newfound partnership with German football team FSV Mainz 05.
This marks the company’s first steps into Bundesliga football as it hopes to enhance fan engagement through customisable and personalised team jerseys
The global leader in materials science and digital identification solutions is looking to provide fans with the opportunity to showcase their creativity and support through bespoke embellished merchandise.
Two interactive fanzone touchscreens featuring bonders equipped with an Accurate Alignment Projector System (AAPS) have been installed at Mainz’s MEWA Arena where people can personalise their jerseys in minutes with the name, number or customised message of their choosing.
Avery’s Embelex solution will play a pivotal role in this partnership. Sergio Shmilovitch, VP/GM Embelex, Avery Dennison, said: “Fans are demanding more creative and expressive ways to show their loyalty, elevating customisation to the top of the league.
“By harnessing our global expertise in delivering high-quality branding and customisation solutions, Mainz 05 can pursue new revenue opportunities while enabling fans to express their dedication and passion in their own unique way.”
Thomas Bohner, head of merchandise, 1. FSV Mainz 05, added: “This is about giving our fans what they’ve been asking for: Instant, professional-quality customisation that turns every jersey into something truly their own.
“It’s innovation that strengthens supporter loyalty while creating new opportunities for the club.”
