The BPIF Member’s Day 2026 saw panels from key BPIF employees and members
On Tuesday July 14, the BPIF hosted its 2026 Members’ Day bringing together key industry leaders and members from across the printing industry for a day of discussion, insight and celebration.
This year’s event marked a significant milestone as the BPIF celebrated 125 years – an incredible achievement for both the BPIF and the UK printing industry.
The Member’s Day started with the Annual General Meeting (AGM) where Charles Jarrold, BPIF chief executive provided members with an exploration of BPIF’s history and mission, as well as our current position and future aspirations, including the successes and achievements of the past 12 months, and outlining key priorities for 2026/27.
Mr Jarrold was joined by a panel that consisted of BPIF employees Mandy Robson, head of business service and Darren Shepherd national membership development director, as well as Karly Lattimore, managing director of BPIF Training, and BPIF board members Ian Conetta, group managing director of The Meliora Group and Jonathan Dul, managing director of MiRiCal Emblems.
Following the AGM, members heard from three panel sessions exploring the past, present and future of the printing industry, with them being hosted by Jo Francis of Printweek, David Osgar of Print Monthly and SignLink and Chris Brock, Editor of Digital Printer Magazine, respectively.
After the panels the celebrations moved to the House of Lords, where members gathered for the annual drinks reception.
Attendees were able to network with Parliamentarians and hear from Peter Hughes of Unite the Union, who spoke of the challenges and opportunities facing the industry.
Charles Jarrold reflected on the strength and adaptability of the print industry, sharing its value, strong history and future, and raising a toast to the BPIF’s 125th anniversary.
The afternoon also saw the presentation of two industry awards, with The Kathy Woodward Award for Learning being awarded to Izelda Lala.
The award honours the memory of former BPIF CEO Kathy Woodward and supports the career development of individuals working in print, packaging and graphic design sectors.
The second award given was the Award for Outstanding Achievement to the Printing Industry and was presented to Debbie Mellett in recognition of her exceptional leadership, commitment to mentoring and long-standing contribution to the print sector.
