Epson is showcasing its new Monna Lisa ML-13000 direct-to-fabric textile printer at Drupa.
The 7-colour, 185cm wide ML-13000 is equipped with re-treatment, over-coating, and density enhancer. It has 13 Epson PrecisionCore MicroTFP printheads and runs at up to 131m2/hr in  600x600dpi – 2 pass mode,  87m2/hr in  900x600dpi – 3 pass mode, and  63m2/hr in 1200x600dpi – 4 pass mode.
The printer uses Genesta pigment ink (black, cyan, magenta, yellow, red, green, orange), pre treatment liquid, over-coating liquid, density enhancer liquid. The inks come in 1.6l hot-swappable vacuum-packs and meet various environmental standards including Eco Passport. Nozzle verification technology detects missing dots and adjusts ink delivery accordingly.
The ML-13000 features symmetrical colour alignment for consistent colour overlap during bidirectional printing, and belt position control technology automatically detects the belt feeding distance to ensure highly precise fabric feeding. There’s also an automatic calibration RGB camera.
A 10.1inLCD touch panel displays current printer status, operating instructions, and regular maintenance procedures.
Epson Edge Print Pro X series Rip software supports Adobe PDF Print Engine (APPE). Epson Cloud Solution Port provides a live view of printer fleet production, equipment utilisation and service information.
