The 10th annual International Print Day will take place on Wednesday, October 23.
Printing professionals worldwide will declare their love of print by sharing ‘printspiration’ across their social media channels in celebration of the day by using the hashtag #IPD24.
This year’s theme is #PrintLife. #PrintLife represents a life in print – what the industry does, where it happens and who the industry does it for – and why a print is a fun and rewarding career.
#PrintLife also represents the emotional attachment to the tangible medium of print when it comes to celebrating important moments.
Deborah Cornm founder, said: “This year is the 10th anniversary of International Print Day, and the annual mission to take to our socials and declare our love of print continues to grow worldwide.
“With workforce development being a universal problem in the industry, #IPD24 is the perfect opportunity to share the cool printed products we can create, how print media supports digital media as a powerful communications channel, and help transform the reputation of print from an antiquated to a modern technology.
“Pint is already a big part of people’s lives, especially when documenting and celebrating milestones and special occasions. I chose #PrintLife as this year’s theme to focus on the advances in printing technology that make it a customizable canvas to decorate our homes and businesses, light up our favourite soda bottles with printed electronic labels, and create interactive experiences with digital bridges to online media.
“There are so many print applications consumers are unaware of; International Print Day is the perfect opportunity to engage and inspire your audience and make new connections and customers by showing off what you can do.”
Last year’s event generated more than 11 million impressions, with almost 200 million impressions for the International Print Day hashtags recorded to date.
