Johnsons new festive window decoration provided with help from Contra Vision
Contra Vision has helped bring a little festive cheer to a UK-based company as it completes one of its most recent projects.
Johnsons Printers in Nantwich came to the graphics specialists with a plan to decorate its shop window with an eye-catching holiday display.
The printers came up with an idea to adorn its shop window with a decorative display that would resonate with the local community while showcasing its expertise in printing and design.
Though the work and visuals were all done in-house, Johnsons sought advice and the appropriate materials from Contra Vision.
It was decided the display would feature Contra Vision’s Campaign White on Black in 30% transparency – a perforated window film that allows for an impactful image without blocking natural light from getting into the store.
With the shopfront situated in the Nantwich town centre, Johnsons was concerned about the graphics getting dirty due to bad weather so to combat the issue, the decoration was combined with Contra Vision’s Overlaminate film.
With this added layer, the graphic can be easily cleaned while preventing the perforated film from filling up with dirt and water.

Rachel McMillan, Johnsons Printers
The shop will now display the design throughout the festive period.
Johnsons’ Rachel McMillan said: “Choosing Contra Vision wasn’t a difficult one for us. One-way vision was exactly what we needed to give us privacy from the outside whilst offering light and vision from the inside.
“Using all available external window space, the material allows full graphic coverage with maximum impact.
“Previously we’ve used posters which only covered 50% of the window area and blanked out vision internally whereas being able to use 100% of the window for our advertising means we’re able to maximise our message.”
Contra Vision’s head of products & IP, Nick Rigg, said: “An excellent set of window graphics and an excellent install.
“It’s always a pleasure partnering with printers like Johnsons, with whom we share a long-standing history. Overlaminated graphics are essential in these situations to make cleaning effortless and ensure the images stay in top condition for as long as possible.”
