Kavalan has launched a new podcast

Kavalan has launched ‘The Green Reality’, a new ten-part podcast series examining the complexities behind sustainability and the environmental decisions made by businesses and individuals.

Hosted by Eye On Display editor, Jack Gocher, alongside Kavalan senior researcher, Mark Chen, the series aims to look beyond environmental slogans and individual statistics, exploring the wider consequences and evidence behind some of today’s key environmental issues.

Topics covered across the series include carbon emissions and removal, air pollution, resource scarcity, plastics and waste, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), and the economic, societal and geopolitical factors that influence environmental decision-making.

The podcast also considers the concept of burden-shifting, exploring how efforts to reduce one environmental impact can sometimes create or move an impact elsewhere.

Nova Abbott, head of marketing at Kavalan, said: “Sustainability is often discussed one issue at a time – carbon, plastics, recycling, water or energy – when in reality these challenges are deeply interconnected.”

The first episode is now available, with subsequent episodes set to be released weekly on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

The series forms part of Kavalan’s wider focus on sustainability, with the company offering a range of LCA-certified PVC-free materials for indoor and outdoor wide-format applications.
