KGK Genix announces third rendition of its Student Retail Design and Careers Competition

Students are being rallied to take part in the Student Retail Design and Careers Competition for the third year running, this time drafting up concepts for Dune London.

The initiative held by KGK Genix gives students a unique chance to showcase their creative talent and gain valuable experience in the retail design industry.

It has been a huge success with some incredible talent being discovered as a result with previous winners, Lorna Storey and Tamsin Shattock going on to achieve great success.

The competition has also helped provide 52 work experience days, six participants were offered six-week paid internships and three students were hired in a role full time.

Previous competitions worked to a brief for big names such as Nike and Superdry and this year is no different, as students will look to design a retail concept for the globally recognised brand, Dune London.

Managing director at KGK Genix, Graham Pitts, said: “Helping young people discover their potential is one of the most rewarding things we do at KGK Genix.

“Seeing past winners develop their skills and take their first steps into the industry is a reminder of why initiatives like this matter.

“We urge other businesses to create similar opportunities to inspire the next generation. The future of our industry depends on it.”

The competition will kick off on January 1. For more information, email enquiries@kgkgenix.co.uk.
