The Konica Minolta team took part in a cooking competition to raise money for Candlelighters

A team from Konica Minolta Business Solutions has helped to raise £6,150 for a children’s cancer charity by taking part in a Ready Steady Cook competition.

The event was organised by the charity Candlelighters and was hosted by Leeds City College.

The Konica Minolta team of channel partner marketing manager, Marie Woodhead and executive co-ordinator, Caroline Marson, helped raise £6,150 for the charity.

Ms Woodhead said: “The day was fantastic day and one that raised a lot of money to support the amazing work Candlelighters does for our local community. It was also a great experience to compete alongside our partners Intuitive Business Intelligence Business who we work so closely with as a business.”

Candlelighters is one of three charities that Konica Minolta employees have chosen to support as part of the company’s Environmental, Social and Government (ESG) framework.

In the run up to Christmas, the team will once again collect and donate toys for children affected by cancer that will be given to children at the Candlelighters’ Christmas party.
