Prism Colour Solutions is to market Cadlinks new Digital Factory Rip software in Ireland. Dave Rainsford, MD of Prism, explained: “We already supply sales and training for new and existing Signlab customers. Digital Factory now allows the company the opportunity to offer people a Rip solution that is designed not only for hybrid machines such as Roland and Mimaki but for separate different printers and cutter workflows.
“The software can print directly from illustrator and Corel and can even put a cut line on a Photoshop image. One of the greatest benefits of Digital Factory is that you really have a central hub for all your print, print and cut jobs. The user can set up as many queues as they wish; running on a number of output devices and each queue is easily configurable to run in a completely automated fashion or in a completely manual fashion. Digital Factory provides plug-ins for Corel, Illustrator and Photoshop so that you can send jobs as PDF’s directly into Digital Factory for ‘print’ and ‘print and cut’ output to your printing and cutting devices. There is no need for exporting / importing files or ‘file-print’. Simply print and cut directly from your design applications.”
