All the winners from this year’s Rising Star Awards

More than 70 budding starlets in the print industry will receive investment into their careers after winning awards at the annual Printing Charity Rising Star Awards celebrations.

The winners were recognised at the event on July 3 at the House of Lords, hosted by the charity’s president emeritus, Lord Black of Brentwood – the 16th event of its kind.

The list included: Tradeprint’s Keir Duffus, Hollie Black, and Marc Farmer; GH Diplays’ Michaela Christmas; and Greens the Signmaker’s Paige Ellis-Gibson. The full roster can be found here.

The organisation will be investing more than £106,000 across the 78 winners’ futures translating to 148 courses, helping them build on their personal development; bolster core role capabilities; gain a recognised qualification; or follow a leadership pathway.

Printing Charity CEO, Neil Lovell, explained: “As is the case every year, we are celebrating the achievements and future potential of the sector’s outstanding younger talent.

“What’s really encouraging, this year, is the increase in the range of courses we’re funding. These courses will drive our winners forward in their chosen careers underlining how the industry is arguably unmatched as a place for young people to build a fulfilling career in almost any discipline.

“It also highlights the evolution of what it means to work in print. This evolution will be driven by this year’s winners, by those who have won the Rising Stars before them, and by those who will win an award after them.

“It’s fair to say, with talent like this within print and the allied trades, the future’s bright.”
