The TrueVIS XP-640 printer by Roland DG

Roland DG has launched its latest addition to its large-format printing series which is said to offer more vibrant colours, quicker production turnover, and more accurate prints.

The TrueVIS XP-640 is a 64’’ eco-solvent inkjet printer with advanced high-speed data control technology and newly designed dual staggered print heads.

The printer ejects finer ink droplets at higher density, maximising performance while achieving high-definition image quality.

It has also been packed with fast production features, including a 7-inch LCD touch panel that helps automate the printing process and reduce skewing. It also has a perforated sheet cutter for quick post-processing.

Ryugo Nimura, president of Roland DG’s global sales and marketing division, said: “The XP-640 is the latest model in this series, and we have further refined its print quality and achieved top-class productivity through the addition of several innovations.”

Users of the XP-640 will be able to replace components such as caps and wipers, without the need for a service engineer, helping to minimise downtime.

The printer is also compatible with Roland DG Connect, a cloud-based service, which offers tech support, including error troubleshooting, operational insights, profit tracking, and easy profile downloads.

Ms Nimura continued: “The TrueVIS XP-640, was developed based on the technology and know-how we have cultivated over many years.

“We will continue to develop and provide attractive solutions to contribute to our customers’ creativity and business expansion.”
