Smurfit Kappa CEO Gary McGann has been appointed chairman of The Confederation of European Paper Industries (Cepi).
Cepi is a Brussels-based non-profit organisation representing the European pulp and paper industry. As Cepi CEO McGann succeeds Jussi Pessonen, the CEO of UPM.
The role of Chairman has a term of two years, during which time the Chairman is responsible for representing the European pulp and paper industry at an EU and international level. McGann has been a member of the CEPI Board since 2010.
