swissQprint’s Generation 5 of flatbed printers

Printer manufacturer, swissQprint, has released a range of flatbeds that reportedly work 23% faster than its predecessors.

The company has announced the launch of the Kudu, Nyala 5 and Impala 5 models – its fifth generation of flatbed printers.

The models are based on completely reworked machine concepts, electronics, and software allowing them to hit top speeds of 341m2/h – 23% faster than the previous generation.

Another essential element is the new printer base. Its extreme robustness establishes the foundation for benchmark precision.

The printers come equipped with linear motors that help to make printing performance faster and more precise.

Chief sales and marketing officer, Carmen Eischer said: “Our flatbed Generation 5 is based on the same robust platform as the successful high-end Kudu model, which has proven itself worldwide over the past two years.

“With the latest print heads and a resolution of 1350 dpi, the new generation delivers outstanding print quality.

“We have always pursued a combination of performance with high output quality and the new printers are exemplary of that.”

These flatbed printers also come with 10 freely configurable colour channels, coming with white and light colours, spot colours such as neon or orange, and effect varnish and primer to add to the range of applications.

The new models are available with a three-year warranty and there are currently more than 100 customers already using them.

Demonstrations are taking place both at the company’s headquarters and numerous distribution partners.

The hardware will also be on show in upcoming trade events.
