Zund is launching a board-loading extension with undercam for its G3 and D3 cutter lines, enabling the simultaneous loading, job identification and registration of various material types and formats while the production process is ongoing.
The new system – available in four different widths – allows the cutter to work at optimum capacity and reduces manual efforts to roughly 15 seconds per board. The cutting process continues automatically as soon as the next board is in place and confirmed. With one-shot capture, the process is much quicker than with conventional registration methods using the ICC camera integrated in the cutter’s tool carriage.
The board-loading extension with undercam is equipped with its own lighting system and shields the area from ambient light that could interfere with the optical registration process. Pressure plates press down on the board to make sure it lies flat on the capture surface.
There is QR code-based production, which enables job files to be retrieved automatically. As a result, various jobs of different material types and formats can be processed in mixed stacks.
