Oliver and Simon Mashiter have been appointed to director roles at Soyang Europe
Soyang Europe has announced a double promotion for two long-standing staff members as both are set to take on a director role.
Oliver Mashiter has become the company’s new sales director succeeding the soon-to-retire, Andrew Simmons.
Having joined the company as a sales manager in September 2011, Oliver is now in his new position with immediate effect. He will be responsible for the entire media sales team.
His key objectives will be planning how to achieve sales targets, setting up new systems that will help both customers and his team, and researching new markets and products.
He will also continue to build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships and assist the Soyang sales managers with account visits.
Simon Mashiter has also been promoted to operations director for media stepping up from his previous position as general manager for works.
First employed in May 2012, his new role will see him be in charge of all operations across the media teams in Soyang Europe.
He will evaluate how the business operates and identify any areas that can be improved to achieve optimum efficiency.
He will also oversee staffing, maintenance, deliveries, incoming goods and more, alongside the management of company assets including the vehicle fleet.
The pair have been working in their new roles since October under the leadership of their father Mark Mashiter, who has been managing director of Soyang Europe since June 2005.
He said: “I am delighted to see Oliver and Simon step into more senior roles at the business.
“Both very much deserve to progress higher up the hierarchy, having built up a tremendous knowledge of the company over the past 12 years or so.
“I very much look forward to seeing how they help the business continue to grow and expand as we move into 2025 and beyond.”
