Materials supplier Contra Vision has joined the Fespa UK Waste Management Accreditation Scheme, which now encompasses self-adhesive plastics and siliconised liners.
“We are very excited to be involved in this scheme and hope it is the beginning of a more sustainable future in the UK graphics industry,” said Nick Rigg, head of products and IP at Contra Vision.
“At Contra Vision we are focussed on identifying ways to reduce the environmental impact of our products and we hope this will lead to more solutions being identified in the markets we serve around the world.”
The scheme helps print businesses to increase recycling rates, eliminate landfill usage, and achieve cost savings by providing guidance and support on how to optimise their waste systems. With the inclusion of self-adhesive vinyl and perforated window film there is now a viable route for Contra Vision’s one way vision products to be recycled in the UK, including Campaign, Performance, Advance, overlaminates and privacy window films. Contra Vision Replacement Liner is suitable for recycling under the scheme but its double Universal Liner is not.
