Recreative Signs’ van before and after the redecoration

Recreative Signs has given its works van a long-awaited facelift, having not replaced its previous graphics for a decade.

Based near Brighton on England’s south coast, the company has established a reputation for precision-cut coloured vinyl graphics and signage.

According to Recreative Signs, the outgoing graphics had originally been installed around ten years ago using Metamark 7 Series vinyl.

Though the vehicle was used daily and exposed to a plethora of wearing conditions, the vinyl kept its colour and vibrancy until being renewed.

Using the same material, the refresh provided an opportunity not only to evolve the company’s visual identity, but also to assess how the original material had performed after ten years of continuous road use.

Richard Earley of Recreative Signs said: “When we removed them recently, it was a great opportunity to see how the material had actually performed over that time.

“The colours were still vibrant, and the film remained completely stable on the vehicle.

“Just as importantly for us as installers, the vinyl removed cleanly and predictably, making it easy to prepare the vehicle for its new graphics.”

Following removal of the original graphics, the vehicle’s paintwork was restored before the new design was applied. Recreative Signs subsequently selected Metamark 7 Series again for the refreshed livery, citing confidence gained from the material’s previous performance.

The updated graphics retain elements of the company’s established identity while refining the overall presentation and visual impact.
