Newcastle print firm works on getting more national work

The Rip in Newcastle has rebranded as the Large Print Works and spent £20,000 upgrading its e-commerce capabilities to provide a customisable and segmented product range through its www.largeprintworks.co.uk website - moves it expects to help it increase the revenues it generates from outside the North East.

Formed in 1988 as a photoprocessing firm, the company which now specialises in large-format print production, employs nine people, a number founder and managing director John Laidler hopes to grow following the rebrand and investment.

“Our business has evolved out of all recognition and the investment we've made in our online resources represents a major step-change in how customers can interact with us and directly access customised products from a very diverse range that fit their precise needs,” he said.

"We're already seeing the benefits of this investment in terms of both the numbers of orders coming to us and the locations from which they're being placed, and we would expect to see further growth based around business won from outside the North East.

"Formally rebranding to Large Print Works clarifies exactly what we do, and we believe our expert team is in prime position to take the business forward into its latest stage of growth."
