Lintec completes acquisition of Lintec Graphic Films
Lintec Corporation in Japan has completed the acquisition of UK-based Lintec Graphic Films, having met all the conditions of the offer announced on 28 November 2016. The acquisition agreement involved the purchase and transfer of all shares of Lintec Graphic Films to Lintec’s wholly owned European subsidiary, Lintec Europe based in the Netherlands.
Xaar does deal with Xerox
Xaar has signed an agreement with Xerox Corporation to partner in bulk piezoelectric (piezo) inkjet printheads.
Canny concept from Leach
Designers within Leach Studio, part of Huddersfield-based Leach, have come up with conceptual designs for the Eternal Egypt gallery at Bolton Museum. The images show four different stages of the potential visitor experience and interested parties are being asked on what they think works and how they would like the exhibition space to look. More detailed concepts will then be drawn up and final designs submitted in the spring, with the museum re-opening to the public in 2018.
Epson decides on Heimtextil designer
Epson has decided which of the four textile designers from its ‘Design for Living’ initiative will have their work reproduced at Heimtextil to demonstrate the quality and flexibility of its digital textile printing technology.

Kornit targets new markets with Allegro demo at Heimtextil
Kornit is taking an Allegro printing system to Heimtextil 2017 next week to demonstrate live end-to-end production of digitally printed home textiles, without any pre-treatment or finishing steps. Based on the company’s ‘Allegro and Cut’ concept, a one-step workflow can include pattern integration, nesting and digital cutting which the company believes will drive new business models.

Epson expands its textile print involvement
Epson has two new hub sites dedicated to the development of industrial digital textile products. The Innovation Research Lab - focusing on ink technology R&D - has been created together with For.Tex. A Printing Research Center, in collaboration with F.lli Robustelli (recently acquired by Epson) will aid future development of Epson inkjet core technology dedicated to textile printing. The two new sites join Epson's established Textile Solution Center in Como, Italy.
