Case study from HP

Andretti Indycar, a championship-caliber race team, is using HP’s Latex 800W printer to wrap the program’s 2024 NTT Indycar Series entries. The Indianapolis-based Andretti operation has two HP Latex printers, and the long-running partnership between the companies has seen over 100 race cars prepped and wrapped over the last decade.

The partnership between Andretti Indycar and HP was born out of the team’s need to meet the fast turn requirements for wrapping a race car, while ensuring the highest level of quality. With the HP Latex 700W and 800W printers, Andretti INDYCAR can quickly print eco–friendly car wraps in vibrant colors, including white, with high-quality consistency.

“We have more teams, cars, and volume than ever before,” said Jeff Childers, Creative Director at Andretti Global. “Working with HP has enabled us to meet the demanding output required in the racing industry at speeds that would otherwise be unachievable. The HP Latex printers ensure every wrap we produce is as environmentally friendly as possible, while still displaying a full color gamut.”

Efficiency and high-quality output are essential for Andretti’s Indycar’s success, and this project is a prime example of how HP Latex printers can create high-quality sustainable car wraps with no hazardous air pollutants produced in the printing process.

As Jeff Childers puts it, “the reliability of the HP printers allows us the flexibility partners are expecting. By having the printers in house, we can quickly turn liveries from one race to the next. If a partner is promoting one brand in a market, and another in the next, we rely on the HP printers for the quick turnaround needed”.
