Iconic Signs in Cambridge is wrapping around 60 classic Volkswagen campervans with bespoke retro ‘70s designs. The vans will be available for rental in France, Spain and New Zealand via holiday company WeDubYou.
Iconic Signs has worked with Volkswagen restoration company Type 2 Detectives for many years, so when the latter was commissioned by WeDubYou to source all of the classic vehicles
for its new business venture, turning to Iconic Signs for the wraps was a natural progression
Mike Swift, owner of Iconic Signs, said: “We worked closely with Type 2 Detectives who carried out all the necessary vehicle repairs such as mechanical functionality and trimming the interiors. We then created the full wrap project, from the design and artwork, to the wrap itself. The intention is to be as loud and vibrant as possible.”
Arlon DPF 6000XRP vinyl supplied by Spandex was used for the job, together with matching 3210 laminate.
