EFI makes key Drupa announcements

EFI is using its largest Drupa exhibit to date to show several new platforms and products. These include: 

  • the Nozomi C18000 - a 1.8m-wide, LED inkjet corrugated board printer;
  • EFI AquaEndure - an aqueous inkjet technology that will be used across many EFI platforms and segments in the future;
  • A new EFI Fiery XB digital front end for the new generation of ultra-high-speed inkjet printers;
  • Fiery Navigator - a cloud-based digital print management platform for Fiery Driven digital production presses;
  • The EFI Corrugated Packaging Suite and the EFI Publication Suite.

"The breakthrough new platforms we are showing for the first time could be game changers for customers as the world moves from long runs to customised, on-demand manufacturing."

The new Nozomi C18000 direct-to-corrugated board printer is EFI's biggest inkjet product development to date and will be commercially available in 2017. It runs at up to 75 linear meters per minute, producing up to 9,000 80cm x 60cm boards per hour using a double-lane printing feature. It prints up to seven colours, including white, at a 360 x 720dpi, and can handle materials up to 1.8 x 3m - and thicknesses up to triple-wall board - at full rated speeds. repulpability and recyclability.
