Pixartprinting takes textile print to another level

Italian-based W2P specialist Pixartprinting has brought eight new printable natural fabrics to market, and is offering a print customisation service with a minimum run length of just 1m.

The materials range from 100% cotton (Muslin 60, Poplin 50/50 and Drill) to 100% silk (8 mm Habutai and 14 mm Twill), as well as a cotton/silk blend (Habutai), and are available in various weights. Printed digitally with reactive inks - allowing multiple hues and short lengths to be produced - the materials then undergo a number of treatments to enhance appearance, properties and colour fastness.

Pixartprinting allows customers to customise the fabric, choosing the printing dimensions of their pattern (with a maximum height of 5m and a width that varies depending on the material chosen) and selecting the type of repeat. Three options are available: basic, which repeats until the entire area of the fabric is filled; half-brick, where the pattern is repeated in half-step staggered rows, and half-drop, where the pattern is repeated in half-step staggered columns.
