Signs Express has selected Vivid Laminating Technologies’ Easymount range as its preferred wide-format laminator. Justin Pearce, franchise manager at Sign Express, said: “The Easymount laminator ticks all of the right boxes for our production centres. With a few of the laminators already installed at some of our existing centres, we’re looking forward to working with Vivid when specifying equipment for new branches and also advising franchisees on upgrades to their machinery."

New from Fujifilm is the Acuity Select HS 30 series UV flatbed, with a top print speed of 57.6 m2 per hour - nearly double the speed of the Acuity Select 20 series.

Mimaki is bringing out a JFX200-2531 LED UV flatbed printer compatible with media up to 2.5 x 3.1m and capable of accommodating two (4ft × 8ft) signage boards. It is expected that the printer will be available from early 2017.

Roland DG has added two new wide-format eco-solvent inkjet printer/cutters to its TrueVis range; the SG-300 (30in wide) and SG-540 (54in wide). The company claims the SG series runs up to 60% faster than previous comparable models in standard mode.
