Roland extends cotodesign/printer compatibility

Roland DG’s cotodesign design and print management software package - that allows retailers to offer an in-store personalised print service – has been made compatible with more Roland DG printers.
The extended range of compatible printers includes benchtop and desktop devices. The list includes VersaUV LEF series of UV-LED inkjet printers; the VersaStudio BT-12 direct-to-garment printer; the 20in-wide VersaStudio BN-20 printer/cutter; the DGShape LD-80 laser decorator; the Metaza MPX-95 metal engraving; and the Camm-1 GS-24 vinyl cutter. Roland said there is no plan to extend compatibility to its wide-format printers. “The product is mainly aimed at customer-facing, retail/exhibition applications and wide-format printing isn’t very prevalent in this market for the time being,” said the company, which added that cotodesign can be also used by signmakers, promotional items companies and printing services to offer a tailored service during events, exhibitions or shows.
