Lemon Signs expansion prompts recruitment drive

The imminent launch of a trade only business arm at Lemon Signs in Derby means the company is looking for artworkers, designers, estimators, sign makers, Web developers and social media managers.
The company is looking for full-time as well as part-time staff and is considering self-employed and freelancers too. Since setting up as a one-man band in 2015, Lemon Signs’ owner and managing director Martin Lemiesz has seen the company grow each year, leading to several expansions in both premises and staffing. Since the Covid pandemic, normal services have been supplemented with health and safety products such as social distancing floor vinyls and anti-Covid screens for existing and new clients. Lemiesz said now that the economy is showing the first glimmer of a reawakening, the company is experiencing an unprecedented demand and believes it is again time to expand. One of the key areas of this expansion is the introduction of a new, trade only business arm of Lemon Signs, serving fellow signage professional with bespoke white label services, including signage and bespoke 3D lettering. “Like so many businesses, we fully expected to see a drop in demand during the pandemic, but this has not proved to be the case, with many of our clients taking the opportunity of lockdown to refresh, improve or renew internal and external signage,” said Lemiesz. “Our order books are still full, and I need to ensure that I can continue to deliver the level of service that our customers have come to expect.”
