Xennia makes major industrial inkjet moves

Xennia used Ipex to announce an agreement with industrial inkjet printhead manufacturer Trident that will see the latter supply printheads exclusively to Xennia for industrial textile decoration and finishing, as well as coating of industrial products. The company has also accelerated its supply of industrial inkjet inks and said it plans to acquire specialised digital printing software company Cametrics within the next few months.

Of the Trident deal, Xennia MD Dr Alan Hudd said: "Trident's printhead technology is important for Xennia as it is extremely robust and enables printing of large drops that spread easily to form uniform layers, ideal for coatings in key industrial applications such as textiles, glass, floor and wall coverings, furniture laminates and decor papers. The Trident printhead is compatible with our suite of XenJet modules." On Xennia's Ipex stand these modules were demonstrated via two industrial printing systems: the Viridian and Sapphire.?

Xennia is now offering the commercial supply of a range of XenInx specialist inks in production volumes from a brand new, purpose-built facility. The are aimed at key industrial applications such as ceramics, glass, textiles, packaging and product decoration and include UV, solvent/oil based and aqueous as well as specialist function inks for printed electronics and other applications.?
