Pixart.it sets up POS display unit division

Italian-based Web-to-print company pixart.it is launching a new department for the production of printed cardboard POS display units. The move dovetails with the installation of three new Durst Rho 700 HS (High Speed) corrugated version systems customised specifically for the new operation.

"We already have several different Durst systems installed - flatbed and roll-to-roll - and we have now hammered out the details of a customised solution that will satisfy our special needs for POS - floor displays and counter displays," said pixart.it CEO Matteo Rigamonti. "We plan to sell these products in cardboard matter as we think that is an inexpensive and cost effective media. Average prices for these displays are really high and we will be able to reduce them a lot with our new Durst."

Rigamonti, as special guest at HP's customer kiosk at Ipex, has also recently signed a new agreement for four of its large-format latex printers. "After testing a demo system for a month, we were able to verify the high quality standards of this roll-to-roll printer that we will mainly use for printing vinyl."
