INX Digital gets innovative at Fespa 2010

INX Digital will be launching AXM, a new solvent ink product developed for the European superwide market, at Fespa 2010. AXM, a Triangle brand and approved for use in many superwide printers utilising Spectra, Xaar 128 and Xaar 500 printheads, is expected to appeal to printers for its scratch resistance and is UV resistant for up to three years outdoors. Manufactured in Prague to ISO 9001 standards, it dries extremely fast on multiple substrates. AXM will be available in six colours and sold in five litre packs.?

"Many of our customers have several types of printers that may run in different volumes. ?For some customers AXM's flexibility offers an economic advantage by using one ink system for different printers. ?This kind of flexibility also provides an advantage to some dealers in certain regions by allowing an expansion of their product line with a product that works in several machines," said Andrej Keblusek, director of INX Digital.

A fully disposable ink feeding system, Bio Inks and new textile and metallic inks for industrial applications are some of the innovations being introduced by INX Digital at Fespa 2010.?

At the show it will launch Eco Bulk, a new type of bulk ink delivery system consisting of kraft cardboard instead of plastic, where only the ink is contained in a squeezable foil bag that may be thrown away after being completely drained. Customers will be able to re-order only the bag of ink instead of the whole cartridge and, once its life is finished, the Eco Bulk is completely disposable. In order to further reduce waste the size of bags has been increased up to two litres.?

At Fespa INX Digital will enter the textile print market with a series of inks for flag and banner applications, both for transfer paper and direct printing on fabrics. At Fespa they'll be shown in a real production workflow with two printers and a heat press for transfer.?

The company will also show its Bio inks running at Fespa, together with existing series of high-quality alternative solvent and mild solvent inks for different wide format solutions.?

?"Today's digital printers are asking for more affordable, cheaper and eco-friendly solutions, but also for technologies that may distinguish their offer, open new applications and increase their incomes," said Paolo Capano, managing director EMEA at INX Digital.
