Amazon OSL adds two new products to its outdoor POS portfolio

Amazon OSL has added two new products to its outdoor POS media range from Sihl diatec group, PolySol roll-up film 180 satin and PolySol pop-up film 310 satin. Both products are suitable for hot and cold lamination and Diatec maintain that due to the gray backside on each film the opacity reaches up to 99.9 percent.

The company, which is based in Celbridge, Co Kildare, is a major stockist of Sihl’s inkjet media and the addition of these two new polyester films is designed to expand Amazon’s range for solvent based signage and POS applications. 

Paul Meehan, director of Amazon, said: “Amazon OSL has been has been very successful in developing Sihl’s indoor media range for the aqueous market and this year it was decided to start marketing media for outdoor applications such as billboard advertising, general outdoor signage, POS media etc. Sihl’s indoor equivalent to the new PolySol Roll-up film 180 satin and PolySol Pop-up film 310 satin range (SuperDry roll-up film 190/SuperDry pop-up film 330) has turned out to be quite successful for Amazon particularly for roll-up and pop-up displays so this made it an easy decision to promote these two new outdoor materials. The market for solvent roll-ups and pop-ups appears to be reasonably buoyant at the moment so it is an opportunity to gain a foothold in this sector with Sihl’s excellent PolySol range.”

The new PolySol films for roll-up and pop-up are both satin finished and water-fast for eco, mild and true solvent inks. The standard widths available are 914mm and 1067mm x 20 metre lengths.
