Contex sees growth

Large-format scanning and imaging solutions company Contex has reported strong growth during the first half of 2010, achieving an increase of almost 40% for both revenue and units sold. Earnings reached more than $3m - higher than the first half of either 2008 or 2009.

Contex, which has customers in more than 90 countries (many in the GIS and AEC markets as well as copyshops and graphic arts companies), is optimistic about the remainder of 2010 as its new CEO Aage Snorgaard takes the helm on 1 October.

"During the last year we have worked hard to streamline our business and improve our distribution channel operations, and I'm very pleased to see the result of those efforts," said Niels Appel, executive vice president, sales and marketing. "Contex's forward-thinking R&D continues to deliver powerful large-format scanning solutions that meet our customers' evolving needs."
