Upgrade for HP Scitex XP2300 introduced

HP is introducing an upgrade package for the HP Scitex XP2300 that allows printing onto a range of media for a variety of applications with one set of inks.

Designed for high-volume PSPs interested in a UV-curable alternative to solvent ink printing, the HP Scitex XP2300 printer has new billboard print modes for printing directly on inexpensive banner materials which could previously be used only with solvent technologies. With these print modes, designed for HP Specialty Billboard Scitex Inks, users can produce glossy or matte finish output using one ink and reduce the time spent switching inks between print jobs. Those taking the upgrade also receive support through HP Scitex Print Care, a set of tools and services that anticipate technical issues, enable remote diagnosis and provide performance information. ??

"Since introducing the HP Scitex XP2300 Printer, we have been working closely with our customers to identify the features that would enable them to move more jobs from their solvent devices to this proven, UV-curable platform," said Yariv Avisar, vice president and general manager, Scitex Large-format Solutions, HP. "The upgrade package allows our customers to create a competitive advantage with more a productive, cost-effective UV solution that also reduces the impact of printing on the environment."??

The HP Scitex XP2300 Upgrade Package will be available worldwide on 15 September 15.
