Xerox teams with EFS to find out what materials HP latex printer users want
Xerox has teamed up with distributor Everything for Signs to find out what people who have invested in the HP range of latex printers need in terms of media. They have designed and tested a range of media specifically on the HP25500 printers.
Sandy Gray, managing director of EFS, said: “These are amazing new printers, but the technology is so advanced that people really do need a range of media specifically for this type of printer. The speed and temperature involved means that a lot of standard media is not suitable. Fortunately when we spoke to Xerox about this they were already aware of the problems and working on a solution. They have now designed, and tested on the HP25500, a wide range of products including paper, gloss and matt vinyl, canvas, banner material, banner mesh and a polyester rollup/popup material which will amazingly stand up to the heat generated by the HP latex.”
