Carrick Signs takes on new kit and staff following move

Carrick Signs in Bury has moved into a new 511m2 print shop on Bridge Trading Estate where it has taken delivery of a second HP500 flatbed printer to help cope with the demand for direct print to rigid materials.

The company, which has three flatbeds and now also plans to increase its stable of roll-to-roll superwide machines, has increased its staff by three and made another two internal promotions.

Launched four years ago by managing director Chris Palmer, the new premises, kit and staff at Carrick Signs are indication of the growth it’s seen.

Palmer said: “The old premises were too small for kind of expansion we are hoping for. The move to the new site, together with the new printer means we can take on a lot more work.”

The company had a turnover of nearly £700,000 in the year to April, up 30 per cent on the previous 12 months. Palmer said he expects another 30% increase this year. <
