A bid prepared by the BPIF in conjunction with Berforts has been successful in securing over £1m of funding for a new cross industry degree level graduate training and development programme. The funding is part of the £165m skills boost Employer Ownership Pilot programmes announced by Vince Cable as part of the Government’s Industrial Strategy.
The programme - designed with a steering committee representing manufacturers, printers and supply chain managers - will provide an innovative programme for 200 managers in the printing industry and will kick off in January 2013.

The programme will cover a two year period and will be open to both the 200 taking the full programme whilst those looking to boost specific skills and knowledge can attend the 100+ support seminars.”
