Extreme Graphics Northern buys Mutoh ValueJet 1624

Exhibition graphics printer Extreme Graphics Northern, in Hindley near Wigan, has bought a 64in eco-solvent Mutoh ValueJet 1624 to complement its existing 64in aqueous printer.

The new Mutoh machine was chosen for three reasons; to increase the capacity for exhibition work; to enable EGN to offer more and varied application options (particularly to the outdoor market); and to attract more business.

Jeff and Amanda Pilkington, owners of EGN, said of the investment: “It was in our budget to invest in a printer suitable for outdoor applications this year. Jeff worked with one of the first Mutoh ValueJets that incorporated interweaving technology several years ago, so he knew how good the quality was and how reliable they were. We did look at several other options to be sure there was nothing else that better suited our business or fitted our requirements quite as well as the Mutoh ValueJet 1624.

“There were several factors in its favour but, the key one for us, was its output quality. The speed was good as was the price, but the quality was what really decided it for us - it was spot on.”
