Fujifilm raises over €10,000 for WaterAid

Fujifilm Europe has raised €10,680 in the first three months of a 12-month initiative which began in May this year to support WaterAid, an international charity dedicated to improving access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene in some of the world’s poorest communities.

The company is donating a percentage of the sales of every square metre of its Brillia HD PRO-T3 processless plate sold in Europe, Middle East and Africa to WaterAid, as a result of the fact that water is not required in the production of these plates.

“As a company we are highly committed to the environment and are delighted to be able to support WaterAid,” said Mr Morimoto, senior vice president, Fujifilm Europe GmbH. “Back in May we set €30,000 as our 12 month target and we are very happy with the money we have raised so far.”

Fujifilm’s contribution to date has been welcomed by WaterAid, and corporate account manager, Susie Kennedy, is quick to praise the company’s involvement. “We are extremely grateful that Fujifilm has taken such an active interest in our work,” she says. “Having safe water and sanitation allows people to take the first, essential steps out of poverty, and  the money donated by Fujifilm will help WaterAid transform lives. We look forward to their continued support in the coming months.”
