Colour Engine offers new lighting service to printers

Colour Engine is a new service for auditing and reporting on lighting conditions to ISO 3664:2009 for companies across the whole graphic arts sector.

“Experience in both studio and press-side environments has shown that in fact D50 lighting is not D50! and currently most viewing conditions are not measured or recorded. Whilst a huge amount of work, care and money goes into preparing data, implementing colour management and process control Colour Engine have identified a single point of failure in that the final product is seldom viewed in controlled lighting conditions,” said managing director Mark Anderton.

“Colour Engine has invested in highly specialised measurement equipment and now offers a measurement, reporting, consultancy, training and tube replacement service to partners and clients alike.”
