Xaar continues PrintIt! sponsorsorship to encourage new talent

Inkjet printhead manufacturer Xaar has confirmed a sixth year of sponsorship for the PrintIt! educational initiative in the hope that it will draw new talent into the print sector.

“The print industry is adapting technically and commercially both to compete with and complement other media. For the industry to thrive it is vital to attract fresh talent with the energy, passion and creativity to sustain the relevance of print as a powerful, cost-effective communication medium and industrial manufacturing process,” said Mark Alexander, director of marketing, Xaar. “We are pleased to support the PrintIt! programme to help inspire and attract young people to consider a career in print with all its diversity.”

PrintIt! is the largest ‘schools into Industry’ programme in the UK and encompasses a ‘twinning’ scheme between schools and print companies. It engages students from all over the UK to increase their awareness of the world of print, and showcase the latest print techniques.
