QPS adds Ilford BioMedia to range

Quality Print Services (QPS) has added Ilford BioMedia to its portfolio at the same price point as comparable products. "The price of BioMedia shows that there is no commercial disadvantage with specifying the more environmentally responsible option," said Chris Bailey, director, QPS.

Ilford BioMedia is recyclable and can be incinerated for energy production without the release of any harmful gases or chemicals, meaning brand owners can also save money by avoiding landfill fees – currently £64 per tonne.

The substrate is suitable for display projects traditionally catered for by PVC or polyester laminates, including indoor and outdoor poster displays, exhibition graphics, pop-ups and banners. The range from QPS includes BioMedia Display Film in matt finish and compatible with aqueous, solvent, eco-solvent and latex ink technology, UV-printer compatible BioMedia Display Film UV in matt finish, BioMedia Rigid Board, an ultra-smooth direct-to-print board suitable for all UV platforms, and BioMedia Laminate, a satin-finish alternative to traditional polyester laminates. Products are available in a range of thicknesses and/or widths.

In conjunction with the BioMedia offering, QPS is also able to offer a cartridge-recycling scheme for used Nazdar ink cartridges, enabling print businesses to provide an end-to-end eco-conscious service.
