Economist to speak at BAPC Conference

Economist Dennis Turner has been confirmed as the first key speaker of the BAPC Conference in January 2014.

Turner was chief economist at HSBC, heading a team advising bankers on economic trends both within industry sectors and at national and international level. Throughout his career he has had regular contact with policy-making bodies. In a personal capacity, he was one of a small number of private sector economists who advised the pre-Blair Labour Party. He retains high-level Government contacts.

Sidney Bobb of the BAPC said: “We have attained a reputation for providing effective and thought provoking speakers at our conferences and Dennis will certainly be no exception. His presentation will undoubtedly be relevant to our audience and should not be missed. He is one person who can comment on whether the best is yet to come!”
