Mimaki has announced the availability of the JV300-130/160 family of eco-solvent inkjet wide-format printers.
The Mimaki JV300-130/160, which is compatible with solvent and water-based sublimation inks and produce output in 1.3 and 1.6m widths at speeds of up to 105m2/hr, will be shown for the first time at Fespa Digital and begin shipping in June.
Mike Horsten, general manager marketing EMEA for Mimaki Europe, said: “These printers are extremely flexible as they can be used for both eco-solvent and water-based sublimation printing. This makes return on investment and the profitable development of new applications faster and easier than ever before for sign and display graphics businesses of all sizes.”
The printers will run with two different ink types including SS21 eco-solvent ink in CMYK, light cyan, light magenta and white. Newly-developed inks are also available in orange and light black. Alternatively, the Mimaki JV300 can run Sb53 water-based sublimation inks. When using SS21 inks, the printer features the ability to lay down a denser layer of solvent white ink for better opacity and brilliant colours on either transparent or dark/opaque materials.
