Allander brings wide-format in-house

Edinburgh-based Allander has brought large-format print in-house via the purchase of a HP Latex 330 from PaperlinX. It was one of £300,000 worth of digital printer orders the merchant said it took at Sign and Digital UK.

Moray Campbell, director of Allander, said: “Up until now we’ve outsourced all large-format work. However, we now have significant volume to justify investing in kit and bringing it back in-house. I’ve road-tested several solvent and aqueous printers but was keen to view the new HP model and so waited until the show to visit the PaperlinX stand and try it out.

“I was very impressed - the image quality is excellent. But what was most impressive was the fact that the prints are completely dry when they come out of the machine and they are scratch resistant.”

Steve Peet, PaperlinX product development manager, added that Sign and Digital UK was “the first time exhibiting as PaperlinX and the perfect opportunity to promote the group’s expertise and knowledge of the complete digital print workflow; from machine and material selection, right through to finishing and packaging. It was a huge success and we’ve have already confirmed our place next year.”
