Arctic Paper Munkedals has certified its entire paper range in accordance with EU Ecolabel.
Its design and book grades have been produced for a while using environmentally labelled raw materials from forests certified according to the FSC and PEFC forest management standards. Several of the mill's products have also been approved according to Svanen (Nordic Ecolabel), resulting in what is known as inspected paper. Now the company has environmentally certified its entire product range according to EU Ecolabel, the official EU standard.
Anders Fransson, technical and environmental co-ordinator for the Arctic Paper Group, said: "There has been a steady increase in demand for certified paper products among our customers. There is considerable interest in the industry in sustainability. We are proud of our environmental involvement and EU Ecolabel is the latest in a series of initiatives that reflect our total commitment to sustainability."
