YPP invests for growth

Large-format print specialist Your Print Partner has installed a 3.2m wide Mimaki 320 to bring its annual textile print capacity up to 250,000m2. The kit will be used to help YPP release a new range of fabric display products in the New Year. The investment follows a 46% increase in like-for-like sales this year over last, and is part of the company’s five year growth strategy, which includes recruiting five new staff over the winter period.

“This is a really exciting development for Your Print Partner,” said managing director Stuart Maclaren. “Securing a new, wider print machine was an essential part of our growth plan. One of our most popular products is feather flags. With this new printer we have the potential to print an additional 1,269 flags per week, which opens the door to new markets and the ability to compete for much larger tenders.

“As well this, and enabling us to launch a new product range, it will also increase efficiency, decrease set-up times and reduce fabric wastage.”

YPP, founded by former print broker Maclaren in 2011, took its first large-format digital printer in July 2012 and in May 2013 moved into new premises in Lincoln. The same year it bought a paper print company and merged operations at its Lincoln site to provide a one-stop-shop. A design service was added earlier this year.
